LUBBOCK, Texas – The New Mexico State baseball team played in its first NCAA Regional since 2012 and first ever outside of the state of Arizona as it took on host No. 9 Texas Tech on Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on Friday afternoon to open the Lubbock Regional. The Red Raiders put up multiple runs in three innings and the Aggies could not climb out of the hole losing in the opener, 9-2.
NM State (40-21) started Western Athletic Conference pitcher of the Year and Collegiate Baseball Second-Team All-American against Texas Tech's (40-17) Dylan Dusek in a battle of the southpaws.
