TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State baseball team made its second trip to Tucson, Ariz. on the year to take on Arizona at Hi Corbett Field on Tuesday night. PUT LEAD HERE
NM State (13-9) southpaw got his first start as an Aggie and was countered by Juan Aguilera also making his first career start for Arizona (11-9). Each hurler opened strong only allowing one hit in each half inning with the runners being left stranded for a scoreless game through two innings.
The Wildcats ended the scoreless bout, as they struck first in the bottom of the third.
