NM State started their spring season at home with a challenging matchup against the UTSA Roadrunners. Despite a valiant effort, the Aggies fell 6-1 at the NM State Tennis Center, starting their campaign with a hard-fought but tough result.
In singles play, freshman Montana Parkinson-Lubold delivered the Aggies' lone victory of the day, showcasing grit and determination in a nail-biting match. Parkinson-Lubold edged out UTSA's Aoka Nagasawa in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5, battling down to the wire to secure her win. Returner Anna Pinaieva also showed her resilience in a tightly contested match, falling just short in a super tiebreaker, 6-3, 6-2, 10-8.
