Despite Patrick Lohmann and Ricardo Mercado putting up a fight at No. 3, the Wildcats secured the doubles point with wins on the top two lines.
NM State later collected its lone victory of the day as Gustavo Campos collected a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win over Arizona's Inaki Cabrera.
