LAS CRUCES, NM - The NM State softball team (18-16, 3-3) put together a solid all-around game in its 8-1 win over Grand Canyon (15-18, 4-2) on a steamy, Saturday afternoon at the NM State Softball Complex. The win gave the Aggies the series victory and are now 3-3 in WAC play.
The NM State bats picked up right where they left off Friday night with three runs in the first inning. Matalasi Faapito started the inning off with a double, and Nikki Butler drove her home on a RBI single.
