NEW ORLEANS – New Mexico State football’s Larry Rose III has been named the Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, the league office announced Wednesday. In addition, Terrill Hanks was selected for the All-Newcomer Team and Tyrian Taylor, Isaiah Folasa, Anthony McMeans and Stody Bradley received Honorable Mentions.
The head coach of each conference school, as well as one media representative from each institution, voted on the All-Sun Belt Teams and the Student-Athletes of the Year. Rose III is the first Aggie to earn Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year since Denvis Manns was named the Big West Offensive Most-Valuable Player in 1998.
