LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The NM State men's and women's tennis teams were recipients of NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) Public Recognition Awards it was announced this week.
The Aggies' men's and women's tennis teams succeeded in posting multi-year APR scores among the top 10 percent of all teams from around the nation in their respective sports.
Implemented in 2003, the APR is a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term. High-performing teams such as the NM State men's and women's tennis teams generate APR scores that range from 987 to a perfect 1,000.
