CLEVELAND, Ohio – A group of 12 Aggies were named to the Phil Steele 2024 Preseason All-CUSA Team, the well-known publication announced Tuesday. Steele has become nationally known as one of the best football analysts in the country and is best known for his preseason magazine which is colloquially known as the "college football bible" by experts in the industry.
After garnering several selections entering last season, NM State landed four Aggies on the preseason first team. Running back and leading returning rusher Ahmonte Watkins, left tackle and 2023 First Team All-CUSA honoree , leading returning sack-getter and newcomer Da'Marcus Crosby were each honored on the magazine's first team.
