ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico men's soccer team had two players earn All-Southeast Region honors from the NSCAA Wednesday. Junior midfielder Chris Wehan was named to the first team, and junior defender Chris Gurule was named to the second team.
Wehan led the Lobos in scoring for a second straight season with 10 goals and two assists on his way to earning First Team All-Conference USA honors. He was a two-time C-USA Offensive Player of the Week award winner this season, and on Sept. 8 he was the consensus National Player of the Week.
