The University of New Mexico volleyball team will visit its personal house of horrors Thursday, taking on No. 21 Colorado State at 7 p.m. to open a difficult two-match road swing.
It’s an opportunity for UNM (9-7, 2-1 Mountain West) to make an early statement in the conference race, but history is not in the visitors’ favor. CSU (11-3, 4-0) sits in its traditional spot atop the league standings and has defeated the Lobos 20 straight times in Moby Arena.
New Mexico is coming off consecutive MWC wins, including a 3-0 sweep at San Jose State, and is tied for third in the standings.
