Utah State was up double digits seven minutes into the game and didn’t relinquish the lead, hanging on for a 84-73 win over New Mexico in Logan, Utah.
New Mexico (19-4, 6-4 Mountain West) will have to wait until Tuesday at home vs. Nevada for another shot to win 20 games this season.
Utah State (18-5, 7-3) moved ahead of the Lobos in the Mountain West standings.
Sean Bairstow and Seven Ashworth led the Aggies in scoring with 20 and 19 points, respectively. Jamal Mashburn Jr. tallied 17 points to lead the Lobos.
