LAS CRUCES – New Mexico State improved its record to 11-5 with a four-set victory over New Mexico at the Pan Am Center on Tuesday night.
The set scores were 20-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
The Lobos dropped to 8-7 in their final nonconference match of the season.
“It’s a good win,” said NMSU coach Mike Jordan. “I felt we were the better team, especially at home, but that doesn’t mean anything in a rivalry match. You got to come out and play well. And we did.”
Gwen Murphy had a match-high 15 kills for the Aggies, including a thunderous match-winner.
