That was the message a disheartened UNM men’s basketball coach Craig Neal delivered to his team after doing just enough to beat visiting Nicholls State, 75-63, in front of an announced crowd of 12,383 in the Pit on Wednesday night.
“(This) is one of those games that you have to play and you have to get better,” said Neal, whose Lobos got back on the winning track after a Saturday loss in Los Angeles, but did so against a much lesser opponent.
