The quest for four is right on schedule.
OK, it did take a little longer than slated during Friday morning’s opening round of the 61st annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate golf tournament – nearly six hours worth – but the afternoon round moved along more swiftly and closed with the host University of New Mexico Lobos in command as they gun for their fourth straight title in the event.
The Lobos, led by junior Andrej Bevins and sophomore Gustavo Morantes, shot rounds of 9-under 279 and 12-under 276 for a blazing 21-under 555 heading into today’s final round of the 54-hole event at the UNM Championship Golf Course.
