MUNCIE, Ind. — The UNM volleyball team opened with a pair of wins Friday, sweeping Belmont and topping Albany 3-1 at the Ball State Active Ankle Challenge.
Devanne Sours racked up a team-high 26 kills in the two matches. Cassie House had 14 kills, and Julia Warren collected 11 kills and 14 digs against Albany.
UNM rolled to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-18 sweep in an 8 a.m. win over Belmont, but had to work harder for its 25-10, 25-20, 26-28, 25-13 win over Albany. The Lobos take on host Ball State today at 5 p.m. ESPN3.com will stream live.
