ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Lobos men’s basketball team has its lowest season-ticket base in six years and lowest number for a non-Pit renovation season since the Ritchie McKay coaching era.
UNM sold 10,029 season tickets this season, according to Brad Hutchins, UNM’s senior associate athletic director for marketing and revenue.
That is a drop of 1,183 from last season and nearly 1,600 fewer than two seasons ago. In fact, the number is even slightly lower than what UNM told the Journal it had sold on Oct. 30 and felt sales would pick up in the final two weeks before the start of the season.
