New Mexico will take that right now.
On Tuesday, the Lobos kick-started spring practice with a two hour, 24-period session consisting of quick-hit scrimmages and positional drills. And yes, shorts, pads and helmets were the garb at the indoor practice facility on a gusty winter morning in Albuquerque.
Nobody kept score, but there was plenty to be learned as New Mexico officially turned the page to the 2023-24 season. In that vein, here’s a quick look at two positions of interest on day one.
