UNM football: RBs coach Wright charged with DWI

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — University of New Mexico assistant football coach Apollo Wright has been charged with DWI, Lobos head coach Bob Davie said Friday in a statement.

“Last night one of our assistant football coaches Apollo Wright informed me that he had been arrested for a DUI,” the statement read. “This is obviously disappointing and a very serious matter. I will continue to evaluate this as it unfolds.”

Wright is UNM’s running backs coach. He has been with the program since the 2013 season.
