ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women's basketball team fell in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational 75-67 to Weber State Wednesday night in Johnson Center. The Lobos finish the season with a 17-15 record.
The Lobos finished with four players in double-figures. Senior Khadijah Shumpert and freshman Jaisa Nunn led the way, each scoring 15 points.Nunn's 15 points was a career-high. Shumpert was 6-for-13 from the field and 3-for-7 from the free throw line. Nunn went 7-for-13 from the field and finished with seven rebounds.
Sophomore Cherise Beynon and senior Alexa Chavez were the other two Lobos in double-figures, each finished with 10 points.
