ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico women's soccer team defeated Colorado College 2-1 on Sunday at the UNM Soccer Complex. The Lobos forged ahead in the second half after both teams were scoreless in the first, with junior Jill Olguin notching the game-winner in the last four minutes of the match.
UNM owned the first half by outshooting the Tigers 12-5, but Colorado College goalie, Jade Odom, had four saves that denied the Lobos an opportunity to be the first on the scoreboard.
Even though the Lobos (10-5-2, MW 6-2-2) remained scoreless in the first half, they were able to create momentum and put pressure on Colorado College (8-6-2, MW 4-4-2) that would later prove to be beneficial.
