UNM, Davie agree to a 2-year extension

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobos football coach Bob Davie has agreed to a two-year extension that puts him under contract through the 2021 season, according to a UNM news release.

Davie, who was named head coach on Nov. 17, 2011, has an annual base salary of $372,690, but also has promotion and media agreements built into his contract worth another $300,000, along with incentives.

Davie led the Lobos to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl last season. It was UNM’s first bowl appearance since 2007.

“Under the leadership of Coach Davie, our football program has transformed both on and off the field,” athletic director Paul Krebs said in a statement.
