ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Cross country coach Joe Franklin and football coach Bob Davie were honored Friday morning by the UNM Regents for their contributions to Lobo athletics this fall.
Franklin’s women’s cross country team won an NCAA championship, UNM’s second such title in any sport.
Davie’s football team went 7-5 and earned a berth in this year’s New Mexico Bowl. Both the winning record and the bowl bid are UNM’s first since 2007.
