UNM assistant coach arrested on DWI charge

The last 30 days have not been ideal for amidst New Mexico football's offseason.

Towards the end of February, the UNM Police Department excersized a warrant to search the apartment of cornerback Nias Martin for an alleged rape on a 19-year-old UNM student.

The early stages of March found Bob Davie releasing a statement Friday night regarding running backs coach and special teams coordinator Apollo Wright's DWI arrest.

“Last night one of our assistant football coaches Apollo Wright informed me that he had been arrested for a DUI. This is obviously disappointing and a very serious matter.
