COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Seven University of New Mexico track & field athletes were selected to the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference men's and women's teams on Monday.
The Lobos, who received a fourth-place finish from the men and a ninth-place finish from women during the MW Outdoor Championships last week in Logan, Utah, saw four men claim six total honors, while three women posted three total selections.
All-Mountain West selections are awarded to the top three finishers in each event at the conference championships.
For the men, Josh Kerr led the way with two all-conference selections, one for his title in the 1,500-meter run and the second for his win in the 800.
