New Mexico couldn’t move up in the standings in the second half of the Utah Invitational that concluded on Monday.
The Lobos finished in fifth-place, the same position they were in prior to the Nordic squad taking over for the alpine skiers.

Junior Karoline Søvik Mykelbust, who missed most of last season with a broken bone at the RMISA qualifier last season, finished with two top-ten finishes early last week for the Lobos. Sydney Staples also joined Mykelbust with a top-ten finish in the women's slalom, finishing in 7th.
The men's alpine squad sent down a total of six skiers for the Utah invitational, and for five of them it was their first time competing at the collegiate level.
