There are times in Lucas Seligman’s life that he finds himself flying.
Sometimes it is with a mountain under his feet, attacking the Durango, Colo., ski resort called Purgatory with his snowboard.
“A little bit of alone time to coast down the mountain,” the Albuquerque native said. “It’s relaxing in its own way.”
Other times it is with a dirt bike beneath him, racing his brothers, climbing hills, hitting jumps.
But this time of year, he operates closer to earth. Seligman, a sophomore defender/midfielder for the New Mexico Lobos soccer team, will find himself in Norfolk, Va.
