The NBA begins its 2015-16 season Tuesday night.
The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels easily lead the way this season with five former players on opening night rosters.
Current Mountain West programs have 15 players who made opening night rosters, though some of those players never actually played in the Mountain West as their schools only joined the league in recent years.
In all, 12 NBA opening night roster players actually played in the MWC — 11 from current MWC rosters and Andrew Bogut, who played at Utah before it left for the Pac-11. All three former Nevada players on NBA rosters never actually played in the MWC as the Wolf Pack joined the league in the 2012-13 season.
