The transfer portal door finally has swung in the favor of the University of New Mexico men’s basketball team.
After several subtractions early in the “tranfer season,” UNM is adding Nelly Junior Joseph from Iona, the Journal has learned.
At 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds from Benin, Nigeria, Joseph averaged 14.9 points and 9.3 rebounds this past season for Iona, which went 27-8 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where it lost in the first round to eventual tournament champion Connecticut.
