ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Cullen Neal and Elijah Brown took turns trying to outdo each other in a blistering first half Tuesday, then New Mexico held off a significant Oral Roberts second-half surge to win 91-75.
Neal finished with a career-high 29 points with seven assists while Tim Williams had 23 points with 12 rebounds. Brown had 14 of his 15 points in the first half.
The Golden Eagles (6-2), who had won five straight games, fell behind by 63-35 six minutes into the second half before an oppressive press throttled New Mexico (5-1).
