ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - University of New Mexico men's basketball student-athletes Cullen Neal and Tim Williams have received CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 honors, as announced Thursday.
The Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Both Neal and Williams will now be eligible for Academic All-America honors later this season.
Neal earned the honor with a 3.8 cumulative grade point average in his communications program. Neal currently averages 13.3 points per game and ranks third in the Mountain West Conference with four assists per game.
