ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — University of New Mexico officials are issuing reminders to fans that they should arrive earlier than usual to Saturday’s 4 p.m. Utah State-UNM men’s basketball game at the Pit to allow time for the requisite searches with metal detectors.
Doors will open earlier than normal, at 2:45 Saturday, and an extra entrance has been added to the east side to help get fans into the venue.
UNM is searching all bags, and Mike Haggerty, assistant AD in charge of events, is asking fans not to bring purses or bags.
The following items are prohibited:
Alcohol, weapons of any kind, baby seats and strollers, bikes and skateboards, camera bags and lenses over six inches, coolers, folding chairs or stools, food or beverages other than an unopened bottle of water, laser pointers, noisemakers, pets other than service animals, oversized umbrellas.
