The New Mexico Men’s Soccer team will look to build off its first win of the conference season against the No. 10 team in the country, St. Mary’s College (Calif.) on Wednesday night before resuming Conference-USA play on Saturday morning against Florida International University.
St. Mary’s comes into the matchup at 9-0-0, one of two teams in the country that has yet to record a result other than a win. The Gaels are coming off of a 1-0 victory over then No. 13 UC Davis and recorded their sixth shutout of the season in the process. SMC has only given up four goals to opponents all season, and have one of the most potent offenses in the country, averaging three goals per game so far this season.
