Men's Basketball: Lobos fall to Boise State, 90-62

A 4-minute scoring drought to begin the game proved to be a sign of what to come for the University of New Mexico men’s basketball team (6-10, 1-2 MW), as the Lobos were blown out by the Boise State Broncos (13-2, 3-0 MW), 90-62 in Boise, Idaho Wednesday night.

Just 4 minutes into the game, the Broncos found themselves leading 13-0 before an Anthony Mathis 3-pointer finally opened the scoring for New Mexico, who came into the game with a four-game winning streak over Boise.

Things never improved for New Mexico, and with 16.7 seconds left in the first half, Troy Simons and Boise’s Chandler Hutchinson were given technical fouls for their actions following a foul on New Mexico’s Chris McNeal.
