For The University of New Mexico men's and women's tennis teams, honors were aplenty as a total of nine student-athletes earned All-Academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and both teams earned team honors as well.
For the men's tennis team, it had five student-athletes selected to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team. In addition, University's men's tennis team was named as an ITA All-Academic Team.
Tim Buttner, Jorge Escutia, Stepan Holis, Michael Tran, and Bart Van Leigsen were the five team members who were honored. In order to be named to the team, the player must maintain a GPA of 3.
