ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Redshirt-senior JaQuan Lyle of The University of New Mexico men's basketball team was named Mountain West Player of the Week on Monday after an outstanding performance in just his second week in the Cherry & Silver. So far through four games, Lyle leads the Lobos averaging 19.0 points per game.

While he has been a consistent leader for the Lobos in his debut, this week alone Lyle racked up 24.5 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds per contest. He scored a career-high 31 points in UNM's game against Green Bay on Wednesday, going 9-for-16 from the floor, 5-for-9 from 3-point range and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
