New Mexico couldn’t keep up with host San Jose State and the Spartans grabbed their Mountain West Conference win of the season with a 71-55 victory on Sunday.
The Lobos were tied with the Spartans 25-25 at halftime.
But San Jose State gained momentum during the second half and held on for the win.
UNM dropped to 11-16, 3-10 in the Mountain West and the Spartans improved to 8-19, 1-14.
