TUCSON, Ariz.--- The University of New Mexico men's golf team is sitting in sixth place out of 16 teams after two rounds of play on Monday at the Arizona Intercollegiate hosted by Arizona.
The squad improved six places on the leaderboard over the course of the day after a tough first round left them in 12th place. Senior Sean Carlon led the way for the Lobos in a tie for 13th overall after posting a score of two under, 69 in both rounds of the day's action.
Carlon posted a two-round score of 138 (-4) and led the team in birdies (8) after day one of tournament play.
