Winning football games, Bob Davie says, is like a drug.
The question is, do the New Mexico Lobos have a prescription?
A victory over Tulsa on Saturday. Davie believes, would make a strong statement about the health of his UNM program.
The Lobos are working on a two-game winning streak, having beaten Wyoming in the 2014 season finale and Mississippi Valley State last Saturday in the 2015 opener. As modest as that seems, it’s just the second time it has happened since the 2008 season.
A three-game win streak? The Lobos haven’t turned that trick since 2007, when they did it twice en route to a 9-4 season record and a victory over Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl.
