BOISE, Idaho --- The University of New Mexico women's soccer team had their season come to a close on Thursday afternoon in the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament after losing to top-seeded Boise State 6-0. Boise State's Raimee Sherle scored a hat trick in the match, only the third to be scored in tournament history.
The No. 4-seed Lobos (11-8-1, 6-5-1) worked relentlessly to upset the No. 1 seed Broncos (17-4-0, 9-3-0) on their home field and advance to their third-straight MW Championship game, but it ultimately was not to be. Despite that, the Lobos maintained composure through the entirety of the match and posted 14 shots in total.
