ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Despite the COVID-19 crisis forcing all classes to remote learning and the cancelation of the university's spring athletic schedules, UNM's student-athletes turned in a record-breaking semester in the classroom. Overall, eight programs turned in record GPAs, and all 14 programs recorded a 3.00 or better GPA for the first time in department history. For the spring semester all UNM students had the option to take their classes as credit/no credit due to COVID-19 crisis.
Overall, UNM's student-athletes recorded a 3.55 GPA, topping the previous mark of 3.37 which was set in the fall, 2019 semester.
