Leading Off
As it has been the case for the last few weekend series for the University of New Mexico baseball team, this weekend's series against Nevada is a pivotal one. Both the Lobos and Wolf Pack come into the series 6-9 in MW play and are tied for sixth in the standings. Despite being at the bottom of the standings, both teams are one game back in the win and loss columns from being in fourth place.
The Lobos will be coming off a series sweep at the hands of league-leading San Jose State, while Nevada lost the final two games of their series at home to San Diego State last weekend.
