ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- For The University of New Mexico football program, it's another case or something old and something new. One year after debuting its white and turquoise uniforms for Homecoming, the Lobos in 2015 are honoring their past and the present with their helmet. UNM will wear its new anthracite matte helmets, but with a throwback logo that was worn for most of the 1980s and 1990s.
The logo is a version of the logo that was worn specifically in 1987, and from 1992-96, which is UNM's former Lobo logo without the black outline.
