BOISE, Idaho --- In a battle for the first place standing in the Mountain West, The University of New Mexico women's soccer team fell 1-0 in a hard-fought match to the Boise State Broncos. The game-clinching goal in the match was scored in the 75th minute by Boise State's Jazel Bowers.
With all that was at stake in the mid-October clash, competition between the two teams that entered tied atop the MW standings was neck and neck and that showed through on the stat line as both the Lobos (8-5-0, 4-2-0) and the Broncos (13-2-0, 5-1-0) were almost identical across the board.
