Lobos fall 2-1 to Loyola Marymount in Overtime

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Behind a spirited second-half effort, the University of New Mexico men's soccer team overcame a 1-0 defifcit at the break to tie the game in the 64th minute and eventually force overtime. However, early in the first overtime, Loyola Marymount converted a penalty kick to win the game on Tuesday night at the UNM Soccer Complex.

The Lobos (3-8-0) offense was on the attack for much of the match, but were unable to find the back of the net until the second half. At the 63:10 mark of the second half, tied the game at one-all as he weaved through the defense unassisted, and took a shot and ripped it past the Lions (3-7-0) goalkeeper for his third of the season.
