RENO, Nev. – The University of New Mexico baseball team rallied in the middle innings, but ultimately lost the rubber game of the weekend series at Nevada as the Wolf Pack came away with a 6-4 win on Sunday afternoon at Weir Field.
In the series finale, Nevada (10-8, 3-3 MW) raced out to a 5-0 lead through three innings thanks to two runs in the second and three in the third. All five of the Wolf Pack runs came against UNM starter , but only three of those runs were earned.
The Lobos (11-7, 3-3 MW) rally started in the fourth inning as they plated two runs on three hits in the inning.
