ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico baseball team defeated a star-studded collection of alumni 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in what turned out to be a perfect day for baseball. Over 200 people showed up to see current stars like Tyler Stevens and Chris DeVito take down a squad composed of some of the greatest players in program history, including all-time wins leader Rob Hoover.
"This is the perfect time of the year for the game," UNM head coach Ray Birmingham said. "We used to have it in the fall around Homecoming Weekend, but this is better because now we have the pro guys coming back and playing.
