SUGAR GROVE, Ill. — After two days and 36 holes of action at the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships in Sugar Grove, Illinois the University of New Mexico men's golf team sits at 16-over 592 and in sole possession of 26th place overall.
After a stormy opening round forced repeated delays on Friday, sunshine pervaded the second-round of the championships at Rich Harvest Farms.
Temperatures in the 80's and nearly non-existent winds made for prime scoring conditions throughout the day, allowing 17 teams to post sub-par rounds.
