For the first time in a month, the University of New Mexico baseball team will take a step away from Mountain West play on the weekend as they welcome in UC Riverside for a three-game series starting on Thursday night. The series with the Highlanders will close out a seven-game home stand for the Lobos as well. The Lobos are currently 1-3 during the stand, but look to end it on a high note.
It will also be the second-straight weekend that the Lobos are expected to hand the ball to Drew Gillespie for the first game of the series.
