ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Elijah Brown, whose 19.6 points per game leads the UNM Lobos and ranks second in the Mountain West Conference, will not start today’s game against the Wyoming Cowboys due to a violation of team rules, the Journal has learned.
Brown and three other Lobos non-starters broke curfew after Tuesday night’s loss to UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev., the Journal has learned. UNM would not comment on the matter before Saturday’s game nor confirm who was being disciplined.
The Journal has not confirmed who the three reserve players are, though sophomore Xavier Adams will start in place of Brown.
