ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team hopes to rekindle some of its old Pit magic Wednesday night.
Such would certainly come in handy with 25th-ranked Colorado State set to visit the building.
The Lobos (14-11, 7-7 Mountain West) need to maximize their home-court advantage against a sizzling Rams team that hasn’t lost since a 49-48 setback at Penn on Nov. 24. Since then CSU (24-1, 14-0) has won a school-record 21 straight games to put itself on the brink of a third straight regular-season conference title.
Should the Rams win tonight, they figure to have great odds to run the Mountain West table.
